"You draw your lawyer's name like a gun" a famous quote from John Wayne in the movie True Grit. The lawyer from 'Dardanelle and Yell counties" name in the film was J. Noble Daggett. Local historians suggest that the character was based on a local figure John, M. Parker due to the time frame, geography and reputation depicted.

John (1849-1943) was born and raised near Danville where he borrowed books to study law and was admitted to the bar in May of 1870. He was County Attorney for a period of time thereafter. John was a candidate for Presidential Elector on the Prohibition ticket in 1888. His law practice spanned over 73 years. John was succeeded by his son Parker Parker.

He was joined in his law practice by his two sons Mark Jefferson Mobley and Bruce Parker Mobley.

Mark, born in 1958, began the practice of law in 1990. He was Certified as a Law Enforcement Instructor and taught Officer Certification courses at Arkansas Tech University in 1990. Mark's trial practice has focused in the areas of Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations and Civil Plaintiff's work.
